One way to address the fluoridation issue is to get elected to the board of a water district. The Sac Suburban Water District has two openings for its board of directors. This district is half fluoridated. The North district, which I live in has no fluoride in its water. Are you interested in helping set water policy for SSWD? The election for new members to the Board of Directors will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Candidates must be registered voters and reside within the District boundaries in the division from which elected. If you are not sure what division you reside in, please contact the Sacramento County Voters Registration and Elections office or click District Division Map at sswd.org.
Each board member serves a four-year term and SSWD board meetings are regularly held on the third Monday of each month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the SSWD Administrative Office at 3701 Marconi Avenue, Suite 100, Sacramento.

Not interested in being a board member, you can still do your part in voting for your elected officials. Remember we encourage you to attend the monthly SSWD Board meetings and get involved.
