By Donna Westfall – December 8, 2016 – Be prepared.  Do you have adequate  supplies for food, water, and candles? Can you afford a generator?  If you have a wood burning stove or fireplace, do you have an adequate supply  of seasoned wood to keep you warm for a few days if necessary?

Today’s earthquake registered 6.5 this morning at about 10 minutes to seven, 104 miles west of Eureka. While no one wants to live in constant worry and fear of the big one, take a few minutes and gather up some basics just in case.

  1. Chp officer in question was named in the Triplicate April 4 th. He has been proven not guilty. Don’t forget, we are all innocent until proven guilty.

  2. Sorry to get off topic but this website rarely gets updates, so this is the hottest news in Crescent City
and nobody is talking about it today. On December 9, 2016, a decision will come in court whether or not a local unnamed person burglarized the Highway Patrol office in Crescent City to steal evidence from the evidence locker and drugs for his own benefit.

If this does not get any publicity from the Triplicate this will be one of the biggest comical things this town has ever seen.

To think that an area like the Highway Patrol office where its people are there to serve and protect the community possibly have one of their own damaging and terrorizing the community with their actions. I use the word terrorizing to show you that the possibilities can be much worse than you could ever imagine someone breaking-in because the next person to tell you that this town has many weak holes that need to be filled by decent honest and God-fearing people.

People wake up to the fact that this town is slowly becoming a corrupt ugly place on the map which needs desperately to be cleaned up. When this person is found guilty, and I believe they will if a jury is honest we should have this person be made as a lesson to all who think that they can do whatever it is they want in this town to get away with it they got another think coming. This should not be tolerated at any level and especially from those in government service

    1. Thank you for pointing this out. I actually went to the Courthouse earlier this week to see about attending the trial and to read the court files. But I was unsuccessful at both, plus fighting a cold and cough. We have every intention to cover this story. So, stay tuned. Donna Westfall, Editor
