From Del Norte County District Attorney’s Office – January 10, 2017 –

The Del Norte District Attorney’s Office announced today that Jason Moodie (32) of Crescent City was held to answer charges of sexual assault on a child under 10 years of age and oral copulation on a child following a preliminary hearing this morning in Del Norte County Superior Court.  The charges stem from allegations involving a three and a half year old victim that is alleged to have occurred in 2013.

District Attorney Dale P. Trigg is personally handling the prosecution.  Moodie will be arraigned on January 19, 2017 when it is anticipated that he will plead not guilty and a trial date will be set.  He is currently being held in the Del Norte County jail with bail set at $1,000,000.
