July 20, 2019 – Fluoride Action Network (FAN) has brought legal action against the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the federal Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The goal is to force EPA to set limits of fluoride in drinking water at levels indicated by the newest scientific evidence, thereby halting fluoridation.
Michael Connett attorney with the environmental law firm Waters, Kraus and Paul, is handling this action for FAN. Currently, he is involved in the discovery phase of the trial in federal court in San Francisco. The trial is set for February 3, 2020.
The case has been proceeding well for our side. Michael has secured some of the top medical, scientific, and dental authorities to testify on our behalf. So far, our side has prevailed in several court decisions on procedural matters.

Funds are still needed to cover expenses for expert witnesses who will be testifying on our behalf in San Francisco.
A successful legal action could halt fluoridation nationally, and further provide stimulus to halt fluoridation worldwide.
