This has been a historic week. On Friday, I was sworn in for a second term. Today, Congress officially certified the results of the 2024 Presidential Election. And this coming Saturday, I will be heading to Mar-a-Lago to meet with the winner of that election.

I plan to speak with President Trump about our progress fighting back in California. I’ll let him know about our success restoring sanity to our state, including the smashing win for Prop. 36 and our court victory to clear homeless encampments.

I’ll ask for his help in further Newsom-proofing California: ending the Sanctuary State; reversing the ban on gas-powered cars; reforming our elections; ending free healthcare for illegal immigrants; building water storage; managing our forests.

And of course, ending high-speed rail. Today I officially introduced the No More Funds for California High Speed Rail Act. This disastrous project has embarrassed our state and robbed our taxpayers long enough. You can read the text of my legislation here.

In other good news, a federal judge just upheld a verdict against Bay Area Rapid Transit over its COVID vaccine mandate. The jury awarded $7.8 million to six former employees who were fired for not taking the vaccine. The anti-American abuses of the COVID era must never be forgotten.

And finally, for the fifth straight year, California led the nation in outbound U-Haul rentals. This is a historic achievement for Gavin Newsom; he’s made the greatest state in the country the most popular state to leave.

Yet the tide is turning in a powerful way, and Newsom has never been more irrelevant. His days destroying our beautiful state are over.

Help me turn the tide against Newsom
