A Champion of Election Integrity Imprisoned

Tina Peters, an Election Integrity champion featured in the must-see documentary Selection Code, was a former Mesa County Election Clerk in Colorado state who blew the whistle on evidence that voting machines in her precinct had been tampered with.

Tina Peters rose to infamy when she was accused of breaching election security by making copies of her county’s Dominion voting machines’ data before a software update in 2021. Peters maintained that her actions were driven by concerns over potential election fraud, echoing widespread doubts after the 2020 presidential election. She argued that she was merely preserving critical data to ensure transparency and accountability in the electoral process, actions she believed were justified under her role as an election official.

Recently, Peters wrote her mother: “I’m letting you know if I die here, it wasn’t by my own hand. I’m not depressed and would never hurt myself or anyone else….Let the people know the truth. They can silence me, but they can’t silence the truth. Things are getting more intense.”

Most Americans would be shocked to learn that every state that contracts with a voting machine vendor essentially waives its constitutional right to inspect or understand the code that governs our elections. Tina Peters’ persecution started when she dared to look under the hood and uncovered the terrible truth about the “selection code.” Beyond this, we know these voting machines have a mile-long list of cybersecurity vulnerabilities that cannot be remedied, making them our greatest election security threat.

In a recent interview, Tina Peters stated, “When you’re locked up for doing the right thing, it’s hard.”Act for America’s Grassroots Director, Christine Reagan, partnered with Tina Peters and Arizona Patriots and achieved millions of direct actions to lawmakers through our Ban the Machine campaign in the state.

I cannot begin to describe the enormous scales of injustice and persecution that Tina Peters has suffered. She now languishes in prison with an outrageous 9-year sentence, where the state continues to heap unfair treatment upon her.

In December, a three-judge panel—without reason or explanation—denied Peters’ bond, meaning she must remain behind bars while she awaits her appeal, which isn’t scheduled to be heard for another two to three years.

This is not just disheartening; it’s a blatant miscarriage of justice that shakes the very foundation of our legal system.

It’s heartbreaking to witness this level of injustice in the United States, a nation that prides itself on liberty and fairness. Tina Peters’s treatment raises profound questions about the integrity and impartiality of the Colorado justice system.I pray that President Trump, with his commitment to righting wrongs within the justice system, and Pam Bondi, known for her advocacy and legal acumen, will both do everything within their power to free and exonerate this incredible patriot. Tina Peters stands for truth, transparency, and for the integrity of our elections, and in return, she faces a punishment that feels more like retribution for dissent than justice for wrongdoing.

The fight for Tina Peters is not just about one individual; it’s about defending the principles upon which our republic stands. We cannot allow such a travesty to stand unchallenged. Her case is a clarion call to all who cherish justice, urging us to stand up, speak out, and demand accountability and reform.During a speech at a Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on February 24, 2024, Trump said, “Your victory will be our ultimate vindication, your liberty will be our ultimate reward and the unprecedented success of the United States of America will be my ultimate and absolute revenge.”

Let those who have unjustly weaponized our justice system, our elections, and our government against We the People receive their just rewards.
