Big News: EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just sent Newsom’s gas-car ban to Congress for review (which Biden refused to do), and I am introducing a resolution under the Congressional Review Act to overturn it for good.
My Resolution is a “privileged” one that is entitled to a prompt vote in the House and Senate. It need only pass by a simple majority and is not subject to a Senate filibuster. That means the ban is as good as dead – a major victory towards Newsom-Proofing California.

In addition to the gas-car ban, there have been major developments on several other fronts in just the last few days:
- My bill to cut off funding for High-Speed Rail has gained significant momentum, and it will now also claw back $4.3 billion Biden gave the train.
- Following my letter to universities that still mandate the COVID vaccine, President Trump has signed an order that will deny them federal funding if they continue to do so.
- Following our Supreme Court victory allowing California cities to clear homeless encampments, even the liberal of Fremont just banned encampments and made it a crime to “aid and abet” them.
- As Chair of the Education Subcommittee, I’m working with President Trump on returning education funding straight to local communities in California so Newsom never gets his hands on it.
Elsewhere, I spoke on Newsmax about the hysterical opposition to DOGE. And we held an important hearing in the Judiciary Committee on how we have restored free speech in America following years of censorship. At this moment, the pace of our victories is truly exhilarating.
