Opinion and Commentary By Donna A. Westfall – February 21, 2025

You can tell by his appearance that he’s not a White man nor a Black man nor an Arab man nor an Asian man. Nope. Kashyap Pramod Vinod Patel (Kash for short) is a 44 year old Indian-American man born in New York.

His parents lived in Uganda (Africa) who migrated to Uganda 70-80 years ago. But things in Uganda were not good. 99% are African’s and the 1% that are left are made up of European, Asian, Arab and Indian. They left Uganda in 1972 due to dictator Idi Amin giving the Indian community 90 days to leave the country. The family went to Canada and then finally entered the US.

Kash is the first Indian-American to lead the FBI. He is a Republican. He was educated at University of Richmond (BA), University College London and Pace University (JD). He is very well spoken. At his confirmation hearing, he bent down and touched his parents feet, a Hindu tradition showing a sign of respect, humility and seeking blessings from them.

The vote was 51-49. True to form all the Democrats voted against him and were joined by two Republicans, Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).

Below, Brigette Gabriel of Act for America credits his win to grassroots efforts.

“Kash Patel – Grassroots Delivers!

Victory! We got Kash Patel across the finish line—and make no mistake, it was the grassroots who sealed the deal, flooding the lines with calls and emails!

Together, we’ve powered key Trump nominees to confirmation, and we’re not stopping now. We’ve got a little more fight left to protect D.O.G.E.—that fearless crew exposing fraud and fraudsters at warp speed, stacking up evidence for the DOJ and Kash Patel to wield like a hammer. The Dems? They’re scrambling like their pants are on fire—because in just four weeks, we’ve defunded the swamp, publicly shamed it, axed the bloated partisan bureaucracy, and primed the pump for justice to sweep through and restore our Republic.

This is our win—and we’re just getting started!

Good luck and congratulations to Kash. I’m pretty sure he’s going to stir the pot.
