If you have ever watched a grassroots protest you probably noticed that signs are hand painted or put together in bits and pieces. Protestors don’t have shirts on that have been mass produced. The last time I was involved in a protest a decade ago we printed up a few signs: “Sewer rates stink in Crescent City” with a skunk logo.
No so with the latest protest against the arrest of a pro-Palestinian; protest held in the lobby of Trump Tower in New York where thankfully NYPD arrested 98 ignorant idiots.
They had on red shirts and printed on those shirts was “NOT IN OUR NAME” which I have no idea what that means. They had signs, and banners and slogans.
They chanted and yelled and screamed and out: “Fight Nazi’s, Not Students!” What the hell are they even talking about? What Nazi’s?
“From the River to the sea Palestine will be free!” Please tell me what Jewish person would chant that when they know it means the destruction of Israel and all Jews?
Jewish Voice for Peace was started here in the states in 1996 by American Jewish anti-Zionist and left-wing advocacy organization. One site states they have grown to 23,000 members while their own site shows over 765,000 members and supporters. They had chapters at Columbia and George Washington universities which were suspended. They have received donations from places affiliated with George Soros, the Kaphan Foundation and Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Revenues in 2021, $3.9 million while expenses were $2.6 million.
Another chant: “Free Mahmoud, Free them all!”
Let’s talk about Mahmoud Khalil, the 30 year old Syrian student at Columbia University who was temporarily suspended. He’s here in the states on a Green Card. Being on a green card is no guarantee of permanent residency status. Matter of fact, if he’s found guilty then his green card will be revoked and he’ll be deported. He moved to the US in 2022. He married an American woman, a dentist, who is now 8 months pregnant. They live in housing owned by Columbia University.
Currently he was transferred to a jail in in Louisiana while the lawyers argue about returning him to New York. If you happen to watch video’s of Mahmoud, you’ll come away thinking that he’s well spoken and a quiet, gentle soul.
According to the Laura Ingraham show, the group Jewish Voice for Peace is behind the funding of this protest and received donations from groups associated with George Soros and others. Wonder no more where the money came from. If you go to Jewish Voice for Peace Facebook page, they incorrectly label Mahmoud’s arrest as an abduction. Nothing like slanting the truth.
It’s just too bad that it looks like some of the university professors are also involved in pro-Palestinian rhetoric which will likely end up in the deportation of Mahmoud Khalil rather than allow him to have the protections our citizens get from our constitution on free speech. If they can prove he was passing out antisemitic literature on campus and aligned with being pro Hamas, I think that will do him in and he’ll be kicked out of our country.
What else did they chant,
“Stop the Bomb, end the killing, fight like hell for the living!” Of course, not to beat a dead horse, but are they only interested in Palestinians living? Personally, when Palestinians voted to put Hamas terrorists in as their government, they deserved whatever they got. Terrorists that continue to live and breathe after having senselessly murdered over 1200 innocent people on October 7th. Having Palestinians relocated to other countries while rebuilding Gaza and environs makes a lot of sense. Listen, they’re not the only people who have had to leave their homeland in the history of the world. I wouldn’t be here today if my grandparents hadn’t left their homeland near Russia.
Bottom line, if these protestors want to occupy the lobby of Trump Tower instead of on the sidewalk, they’re going to be arrested for criminal trespass. Hope the judge throws the book at them, locks them up for a while and fines the lot, which will most likely be paid for by Jewish Voice for Peace.
When the worst President of the US in my lifetime, Joe Biden, enacted his Inflation Reduction Act, who can tell me if that was the worst, most inappropriate title for an Act when our inflation peaked at 9% in June of 2022 – the highest in 40 years? The spin doctors must have really thought hard about naming that Act. Let’s face it, Biden and his minions were a bunch of incompetents, not the least bit interested in helping American’s for the most part. Such a pleasure to witness in living color Trump and his cabinet overturning the worst of Biden’s disasters day by day.
Lastly, whoever came up with the name Jewish Voice for Peace get’s high marks on mislabeling what they do and what they stand for. It seems to me it would be like having our own home grown terrorist organization, the KKK, rebrand themselves at White Guys in Robes and Hoods for Jews and Blacks.
