On April 1, I stumbled across what I thought must be an April Fool’s joke: a website launched by Gavin Newsom claiming California “leads the nation in preventing fraud.” The reality, I countered on Fox, is Newsom leads the nation in allowing fraud.
That Newsom felt the need for the absurd website shows we’ve succeeded in exposing him as America’s Fraud King. But more than exposing him, we’re stopping him: there are now over a dozen investigations/probes, including a conviction this week for $270 million in bogus Medi-Cal claims.
This comes as 60 Minutes told all of America what a disaster High-Speed Rail is. The Rail Authority itself pegged the price at $126 billion with “the right optimization.” I noted on Newsmax that means if everything goes perfectly we’ll spend 30 times what it cost to send Artemis II to the moon.
Thankfully we’ve already cut off all federal funding, which is the most important step for terminating the project and sparing our taxpayers. I’m aiming to spare taxpayers at the gas pump as well, introducing the Gas Tax Reduction Act to bar California from overtaxing drivers.
I also discussed with Wolf Blitzer my proposal that Members of Congress – not TSA agents and air traffic controllers – should have their paychecks withheld during a government shutdown. And Members certainly shouldn’t skip TSA lines while they force Americans to wait hours.
Finally, new Census data shows California’s population declined in 2025, for only the third year in our 175-year history. Newsom was Governor for all three; he’s turned the most beautiful state in the country into the most popular state to leave.
That’s why the coalition for common sense we are building is ascendent. It’s how we beat Newsom by 45,000 votes last election. And it’s how we’ll beat him again, overcoming Prop. 50 in the greatest triumph for sanity California has seen in a very long time.
Help me fight for sanity in California
