It’s the end of 2024, you get your DMV bill in the mail, but, can’t pay it online because the California DMV outsources their payment centers in the Phillipines. Nothing wrong with that until you are told by the outsource worker, “we are not the DMV and we can’t help you”.

In the meantime, the DMV has no issue with fining you on a daily basis for not paying on time and the local DMV is open on Mondays and Fridays from 8-5 p.m. why?

By California outsourcing this needed entity, we are charged up to $50.00+ for additional fees just to pay our registration and tags. But this is what Governor Gruesome decided;

“Sacramento – To improve efficiency and to better serve the evolving needs of customers as part of its digital transformation, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will modify public hours at 20 offices throughout the state. The offices will remain open to the public two to three days a week beginning July 2024.

On weekdays when these offices are closed to the public, DMV team members will process transactions started online that require additional processing or virtual customer interaction. This will help improve efficiency and speed up processing times for all customers as more tasks are completed online. As previously announced, starting today the DMV will no longer process simple transactions in offices that can easily be completed online or through other convenient options.”

I can testify there is no one working in the DMV office Tuesday through Thursday because they give you an 800 number to call and that 800 number is to the Philippine’s and those people do not know what they are doing. If you fill out your registration online they charge you an additional amount which is criminal in my purview.

I helped a gentlemen who needed his tags. Online they were asking for an additional $56.00 to process his tags and registration(not including late fees) which led us to the Phillipines who asked for an “order number.” In the meantime, the DMV will continue to fine this person for late fees when the DMV is unable to accommodate as they say, “having staff on hand” to help process online issues.

When again do we get a new governor?
