Join the DNATL Community Food Council in gleaning cranberries this Saturday, November 2nd from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in Port Orford, Oregon. Don’t miss this opportunity to glean fresh, delicious cranberries from the cranberry bogs of Port Orford, just in time for all your holiday dishes! The cranberry farms are absolutely beautiful and plentiful this time of year. We need all the help we can get. Gleaned cranberries will be turned into cranberry sauce and bagged for Pacific Pantry as well as sold to the community to raise funds for the pantry. You get to keep half of whatever you glean for yourself!

Please RSVP here so we know where and when to expect you to join the group.

We will meet at the Port Orford Co-op at 10:00 am and caravan to the cranberry farm or you can meet at the Family Resource Center located at 494 Pacific Avenue, Crescent City, Ca. at 8:00 am to carpool. It is 1 hr 45 min from Crescent City to Port Orford. Please bring 5 gallon buckets or containers to hold cranberries, waterproof shoes and pants, and/or waterproof tarp to kneel on (the ground will be wet). You will also need your own water for drinking. Other things you should consider bringing include snacks, sunglasses, hat, sunblock, etc. This is a kid friendly event but please keep your dog at home.
