14 year old Colt Gray has been identified as the “suspected” shooter of two students and two teachers. Those four died. Nine more were injured. Apparently he has been on the FBI’s radar since he was 13. Actually, it’s more than just being on their radar. The FBI’s Atlanta field office referred anonymous tips and online threats to Jackson County Sheriff’s office. The local sheriff’s officers went out and interviewed the 13 year old suspect as well as his father. The father did have guns in the house but the suspect did not have unsupervised access to them. Schools in the area were alerted to continue monitoring the suspect.

Apalachee High School is a public high school with over 1,900 students. Located in Barrow County, Georgia with a population of over 83,000. The attack took place Wednesday morning September 4th at about 10:20 in the morning. Law enforcement was on the scene within minutes. Somehow I would suspect that Colt Gray figured out how to get access to those guns in his house.

Due to this tragedy, all Barrow County schools will be closed Thursday and Friday this week.

Colt Gray was taken into custody and will be tried as an adult.

Yes, Georgia has the death penalty.
