Darrin Short, Supervisor 1st District – 61.60%

Since she didn’t get 51% of the vote, there will be a runoff and it looks Valerie Starkey will be on the November ballot as she got 12 votes more than James Ramsey.

  1. You are absolutely right about what you are saying Samuel ! Hopefully the Japan junkets will be over and we can get down to the business at hand! The public needs to be educated in a constructive way instead of brow beaten by members of our Counties Board of Supervisors!

  2. Well, at least we’ve dodged a disaster here in this county by turning back the candidacies of Kevin Hendrick, John Pritchett, and James Ramsey, all progressive Democrats. Hopefully, the successful candidates will remember that they are in office to make decisions that benefit all citizens of Del Norte County and not to be seen as leaders that are only in office to benefit themselves and those immediately around them. To speak more plainly, there will be no more taxpayer funded sister city junkets to Japan as an example. I still would wish that a little more than six thousand of our county’s fifteen thousand plus registered voters would excersize their fundamental right to vote.
