Firebaugh City Council Appoints New City Manager.

At its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, June 17th, the Firebaugh City Council appointed Kenneth McDonald as City Manager. Interim City Manager, Ron Manfredi, who has served in this capacity since mid‐February, stated that Mr. McDonald was selected from a field of 18 candidates after a lengthy and in‐depth search and selection process.

McDonald is currently the Finance Director of Crescent City, CA. near the Oregon broader; a position that he has held for five, plus years.  He holds a Masters in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Nev. He also previously served as City Administrator for the cities of Biggs, CA and Brian Head, Utah.

Interim Manager Manfredi commented that: “Ken’s finance background and his knowledge and oversight of major public works development projects and his clearing up of significant audit issues in Crescent City make him an ideal leader for Firebaugh. Firebaugh is an outstanding City that is beginning to get its financial ship in order. Ken
McDonald will bring the expertise and fiscal discipline to continue the improvements that have recently been put into place”.
