I finally made it and it was well worth the trip.  Wednesday’s Farmer’s Market has 8 vendor’s there today.

Let’s start with Keith Polen.  He makes pine needle baskets and jewelry out of pine needles.  He can be reached at 707 460 0658 or k_pol8@yahoo.com.  His prices range from $10 – $30.  It’s a lost art.  Check it out.

Next to Keith, is Anna Porter of Porters Pots and Plants.  Pick up an attractive potted plant from $10 – $50. She can be reached at 707 465 3194. Stroll on down to Brenda Bogart’s area.  She crochets hats, scarfs, afghans, crocheted travel bags and beaded jewelry. $10 on up. Simply beautiful.  She can be reached at 707 954-6504.  And then an Arts & Antiques spot with some Indian Art.

Leslie Ann makes alot of handmade items too.  Jewelry from $5 to $25.  Fingerless gloves and handmade scrunchies.  You can contact her at 707 487 0975.

Always enjoy the fresh fruits and vegies from Ocean Air Farms.  Fresh picked carrots, beets, lettuce, bok choy, strawberries and peas just to name a few. Delicious.  They can be reached at 707 616 1946.

Across from them and driving down multi-hours from Ashland, Oregon is Village Baker of Ashland.  They have a large variety of breads, and not just your standards, but All Natural 279 year old Sourdough "levain."  My favorite was their chocolate chip brownie.  It had just the right mixture of crispy top with chewy middle. 541-488 9130.

And, last…. Suz’s Gift Bags.  A beautiful assortment of crocheted hats ($7.50), Duffel Bags ($35) and Beach Bags ($25).  She also brings down cans of BC Tuna at $4.25/can.  This is hook and line caught and Dolphin Safe. It’s caught in Brookings, Oregon.  Suz’s can be reached at 541 469 9793.

I think the only thing missing today was some music.  Any volunteers?
