I’ll be taking in 100 signatures to City Clerk, Robin Altman this morning protesting the doubling of the water and sewer rate increases.
Big Thank You to all the people who have been at Walmart, Safeway, Grocery Outlet, The Mail Room, Flynn Center the Post Office, and knocking on doors. Keep those signatures coming in.
At 5:30 pm, Monday, June 1st there will be a Press Conference to disclose so many issues that four out of five of our council members have not addressed.
We appreciate all the thanks by property owners and tenants that pay the bill. Only a very few souls have been disrespectful or rude. Some people still feel fearful and intimidated to sign because they think the City will be after them. It’s sad.
But what is even sadder is the inflation this will cause. And, saying that the rates haven’t been raised in 10 years is no excuse when they are not providing documentation.
Be sure to get there early Monday, June 1st and put something on a seat to reserve your place. The Hearing is taking place at 6 pm at the Flynn Center 981 H Street in Crescent City.
You can bring your Prop 218 protests to the meeting. You can also speak your mind during public comment.
