Newsom’s Chief-of-Staff will soon be sentenced after pleading guilty to corruption charges. The criminal scheme was uncovered after a lobbyist cooperated with the FBI and wore a recording device. I’ve long called Newsom “America’s most corrupt Governor.”
That same corruption led him to target us with a gerrymander. Now, his candidate Richard Pan is refusing to debate me. (You can watch the embarrassing clip here). It’s obvious why: Pan is an extreme Newsom enabler and one of the most radical legislators in America.
That’s why over 10,000 parents have now signed our Parents Against Pan petition. It’s why Newsom’s presidential campaign is collapsing before it begins. And it’s why, as I detailed in our Election Night rally, our movement for sanity in California is ascendant – despite all obstacles.
And yet, Newsom keeps piling on the insanity. I set forth the jarring facts on Newsmax: he’s raising taxes by billions of dollars and increasing the gas tax yet again (my Gas Tax Reduction Act would preempt this increase). Overall, he’s added $150 billion to the budget.
Meanwhile in DC, as a Supreme Court ruling allowed states to protect girls sports, I called on California to end its radical policy to the contrary. I also chaired a hearing on the alarming rise in the cost of youth sports, and I introduced legislation to end insider trading in Congress.
And on America’s 250th birthday, I joined Meet the Press to affirm that ours is the greatest country in history, the most brilliant form of government ever devised. That’s what our movement of patriotic California citizens is about protecting.
