Crescent City, CA — The Del Norte County Fairgrounds kicked off the holiday season in
spectacular style this weekend as more than 300 community members gathered for the
30th Annual Festival of the Trees. The beloved event sparkled with over 46 beautifully
decorated Christmas trees, each uniquely designed and displayed for public enjoyment and
charitable bidding.

Guests were greeted with the inviting sounds and scents of the season as they browsed
through aisles lined with trees, ornaments, and festive table settings. Many attendees took
home door prizes, while others placed bids on exquisitely crafted table decorations, each
centerpiece showcasing local creativity and holiday spirit.
Lunch provided to guests added warmth to the winter celebration. Attendees enjoyed:

  • Chicken salad sandwiches
  • A comforting cup of gnocchi soup
  • Fresh green salad
  • Christmas Banana Foster’s pudding for dessert
Each lunch participant was also gifted a handmade angel table-setting decoration, a
keepsake from the afternoon’s festive tablescape displays.
  • At approximately 1:00 p.m., Master of Ceremonies Everett Young took the stage to
announce winners of the decorated tree raffle and the public’s “favorite tree” votes. This
year, First Place went to a breathtaking creation designed by the Del Norte County
Fairgrounds staff — an extraordinary tree that quickly became the talk of the event for its
    craftsmanship and whimsical charm.

  • The Festival of the Trees is more than just a celebration; it’s a reminder of the power of
shopping local. Local businesses contribute to community events like this one,
strengthening Del Norte County’s economy while creating joyful traditions for families and
    visitors alike.

  • Now in its 30th year, the Festival of the Trees continues to be a cherished community
tradition, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together to welcome the holiday season
with beauty, food, and fellowship. With its glittering displays, generous spirit, and joyful
atmosphere, the event once again proved to be a perfect gateway into Christmas.
