By Thomas O’Rourke, Sr., Chairman, Yurok Tribe – November 1, 2016 – The Yurok Tribe is pleased to submit a letter of endorsement to support Mr. Bob Berkowitz as the candidate for Supervisor to Del Norte County District 5. Mr. Berkowitz has served the County residents in many capacities over the past decades.

It is apparent to the Tribe the need for stronger relationships with Del Norte County and local leadership is essential to the further successes we all wish to enjoy.  Mr. Berkowitz’s knowledge and experience specifically in the terms of business, real estate, education, technology, state and federal government; and his ability to complete multi-agency projects through communication and cooperation makes him our candidate to improve the quality of life for county residents.

The southern part of the county has been almost forgotten over the past years.  The need to have the Board of Supervisors work together to include the entire county is paramount for the Yurok Tribe.

We believe that Mr. Bob Berkowitz is the candidate which will change the current county rhetoric and promote the cooperation between the Yurok Tribe, the Klamath community, and the Del Norte County residents for a common goal – moving Del Norte County forward.
