Jury sentences Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, to death –

After deliberating for 14 1/2 hours, the jury returned their verdict.

If he had been sentenced in North Korea, he would be executed swiftly.  In America, he’s looking at maybe 15 years behind bars of exhausting appeals before being put to death by lethal injection.

His family stands firmly behind him declaring they will fight till the end. Had he not been influenced by his older brother, Tamerlan, he probably would have graduated Friday, May 15th, from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

The majority of America still favors the death penalty. Three killed, nearly 300 injured at the end the 2013 Boston Marathon race including 8 year old Martin Richard when video showed Dzhokhar placing the pressure cooker bomb behind his family.

The jury had two choices:  Life in prison without the possibility of parole or death.  When polled, all twelve chose the death penalty.
