5-ounce tuna cans of Bumble Bee Chunk White Albacore and Chunk Light Tuna are being recalled as the lids were not put on tightly enough which can result in product contamination if consumed. So far no illnesses have been reported. Products were distributed for retail sale nationwide between January 17, 2013 and February 28, 2013.
Bumble Bee has issued a voluntary recall of the products. You can go to their website for specific information at: www.bumblebee.com.
If you purchased any of these cans, it is recommended that you throw them away and call Bumble Bee at 800 800 8572 for a refund. However, when I called this morning, their mailbox was full and was not accepting any new messages.
