The Del Norte District Attorney’s Office announced today that Crescent City Police Department Officer Sarah Asbury has been awarded the DA’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award for 2015. Ms. Asbury will be recognized at the annual awards ceremony to be held at the Crescent City Cultural Center on March 22, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Several local agencies will recognize officers and community members at the awards ceremony, which is open to the public.
“Officer Asbury has consistently shown a high level of professional competence, attention to detail and commitment to service in our community. When I floated her name around the office for consideration for this award, I got a resounding ‘YES’ from everyone,” Del Norte District Attorney Dale P. Trigg said. “A successful prosecution is predicated on a quality investigation. Ms. Asbury’s investigation skills and thoroughness were instrumental in making it possible for my office to successfully prosecute several high-profile cases last year,” Trigg said. “She takes pride in her work and it shows in the quality of what she produces,” Trigg said.

This women does not follow protocol at all times. She failed to do a simple breathalizer teat and caused a mother to lose her son. She falsly accused and jailed a women and caused her and her son more pain then you can ever imagine. If this is the cop of the year youve got another thing coming. Desire
Great accomplishment, thanks for all you do.
