It’s my favorite four letter “F” word – FREE!
TODAY – SATURDAY March 29th – Admission is free and so many other things are as well like seeds and plants and scions. Tables and tables and tables covered with packets of seeds from fruit to flowers to vegetables. In the back corner are plants of all types and they’re free too. I picked up a strawberry plant, dill seedlings and a few others. I dropped off fortnight lilies, succulents, crocosmia and thornless red raspberries.
One of the things I was hoping for was to get some scions. Fortunately, Terry Allaway was there with loads of scions. She used to live in Hiouchi. That’s where I first met Terry. She was giving away a lot of her plants and I picked up raspberries from her. Nice that I’m now able to turnaround and donate them to the event.
It’s taking place today from 11 am to 4 pm at the main hall in the Fairgrounds. Terry will be giving a class at 1 pm.
There’s also a silent auction as well as numerous other tables with information and plants, some to buy.
Check it out.
