13 to 16 ft waves Friday Oct 9, '1513 to 16 foot breakers are expected on Northwest California beaches beginning Friday afternoon into Saturday as southwesterly swell impacts the coast. The waves are currently being generated by Hurricane Oho over the central Pacific, where deep ocean waves are around 30 feet. Waves will decrease in height as they approach the Northwest California coast. Beach goers are advised to stay farther back from the surf and stay off of rocks and jetties Friday into this weekend.
