Del Norte County District Attorney’s Office – January 4, 2017 –

mark-roenigThe Del Norte District Attorney’s Office announced today that Mark Oliver Roehrig (57) of Crescent City has been charged with the following offenses that are alleged to have occurred on December 26, 2016 in his Crescent City home:  Sexual Penetration by a Foreign Object on a Person Under 16; Oral Copulation of a Person Under 16 and Lewd Act on a Child.

Roehrig has been arraigned and has pleaded not guilty.  He is currently being held in the Del Norte County jail with bail set at $100,000.  Roehrig will have a preliminary hearing on January 17, 2017.  Sgt.     1. He was sentenced to 13 years, 4 months in prison. He arrived at San Quentin State Prison on 08/31/2017. There doesn’t appear to be any trail so almost certainly he was offered and took a plea deal. If eligible for early release, he should be around 65 when he is released and because of how the parole system works he would be forced to move back to Del Norte County rather than moving anywhere else.
