On Thursday, Gavin Newsom received a bipartisan rebuke from Congress. The House passed H.R. 1435 to stop his plan to ban gas-powered vehicles.

In ordering the ban, Newsom claimed he was “leading the nation.” Once again, the nation wants no part of his “leadership.” I participated in the Floor debate and pointed out California already has America’s highest energy prices; banning 95 percent of existing vehicles won’t help matters.

In other good news, my bill to oust Julie Su, the Department of Labor Succession Act, passed the Education and Workforce Committee on a 23-19 vote. In presenting the bill, I did not mince words about the lawless, shameless, undemocratic scheme Biden is attempting.

I am also co-sponsoring a new measure that is vital to the privacy and liberty of Americans. The CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act will stop Biden’s plans to have the Federal Reserve issue a central bank digital currency.

In the Legislature, the bill to make child trafficking a serious felony has passed unanimously – after originally being killed by the Supermajority. This shows the power of our citizens movement; I highlighted our success at a recent House hearing on the threat of child exploitation.

And now that Newsom admits he botched COVID, he’s shifting blame, saying: “it was hardly I, it was we, collectively.” I’ve corrected the record: Newsom insisted on a one-man rule that even the outgoing Assembly Speaker agrees did permanent damage in its disregard for the Constitution.

Speaking of disregarding the Constitution, on Wednesday I’ll have the chance to question Attorney General Merrick Garland at a House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing. To put it mildly, there is a lot of ground to cover.

Help me fight back against Newsom’s attempt to unseat me
