At our hearing last week, we uncovered a statement from Biden’s website praising Newsom’s notorious AB 5 law as a national “model.” Biden has now scrubbed it from the site. You can see a screenshot of the deleted verbiage here.

It’s another sign we’re winning the fight to stop both the nationalization of AB 5 and the nomination of its lead enforcer, Julie Su. Speaker McCarthy and I have just published a joint op-ed titled: “Biden’s Labor pick would turn America into one big California mess.”

It’s also a sign of how toxic Newsom has become after the flop of his “Red State” tour. As even fellow Democrats admonished him to grandstand elsewhere, San Francisco reached a point of total chaos. Humiliated, Newsom is now sending the National Guard into SF to restore order.

It’s a dramatic admission that the “model” he wants to foist on America has imploded. Newsom also posed an embarrassment to Democrats on the Education Committee this week, when I confronted their anti-school-choice witness with Newsom’s own hypocrisy on the issue.

Meanwhile, we just passed legislation in the House that brings the era of out-of-control spending to an end, saving taxpayers $4.8 billion. This follows other landmark bills: the Parents Bill of Rights, the Lower Energy Costs Act, and the Protect Women and Girls in Sports Act.

I’ve also been appointed to the Intellectual Property Subcommittee, and have just outlined a new strategy for America to out-compete China: by cracking down on IP theft and reviving our innovation economy.

Finally, our fight to stop Newsom from replacing Dianne Feinstein with his own crony is gaining momentum. Even the LA Times opinion page is joining our call for an election rather than an all-Newsom senatorial delegation.
