We are 50 days out from Election Day, and the stakes have reached peak levels on both the campaign trail and Capitol Hill. But first, an update on the reckoning for American universities.

The President of Rutgers University has resigned. He is the 4th university leader ousted after testifying in our committee’s investigation, joining the former Presidents of Harvard, Penn, and Columbia.

In addition, tomorrow the full House will vote on my legislation, the Free Speech on Campus Act. That’s just one of several major votes this week:

  • We’re voting to attach the SAVE Act to any government funding, to assure only American citizens vote in our elections.
  • We’re voting to give the Trump campaign the full Secret Service protection that Biden has, following another shocking assassination attempt.
  • There will be a vote on a bill I’m sponsoring to automatically end a State of Emergency after 30 days, preventing another COVID nightmare.
  • I am chairing a hearing of my subcommittee on the “No Tax on Tips” bill.

Also reaching peak levels: the insanity in Sacramento. The Legislature has voted to give unemployment benefits to illegal immigrants. This comes after criminals already looted the state for $31 billion in fraudulent benefits.

And the “High-Speed” Rail Authority just announced a new CEO – its fifth. They’ve built one bridge to nowhere in 16 years and are still short $100 billion. On the House Transportation Committee, we have opened an investigation into this monstrosity.

Newsom is also proudly leading the campaign against our Prop. 36 (anti-Prop. 47) initiative. I’m glad. When it passes overwhelmingly, he’ll become the biggest lame duck in history – if he isn’t already.

But that hasn’t stopped his “Deputy Secretary,” Jessica Morse, from unleashing an avalanche of attack ads against me. They contain the most shameless lies I’ve ever seen in a political ad. But with your help, we are fighting back.

Help me fight back against Newsom and Morse
