We are so grateful for your support, your efforts and your interest in the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association’s campaign to qualify the Repeal the Death Tax Act for the November 2024 ballot. This measure will restore the ability of parents to transfer their home (of any value) and up to $1 million of taxable (assessed) value of other property to their kids without any change to the property tax bill. 

And this important measure is retroactive, so anyone who was stung by a Proposition 19 reassessment for a parent-child transfer since February 2021 will be able to get their previous assessed value reinstated, as if the reassessment didn’t happen.
