By Donna Westfall – September 25, 2016 – Want to have some fun? The Roots & Shots Gardening Club is open to all. You don’t even have to be a gardener, but it helps.
For example, the Wednesday, September 28th meeting, will be learning how to make a leaf stepping stone out of cement. Normally, this would be included in the events section but there are other things going on as well:
Their first annual swap meet. Got stuff cluttering up your rooms, shelves or garage? Bring ’em. It’s a No Money Exchange.
Did you know that McDonalds in Grants Pass bags up their used coffee grounds for gardeners? Let’s get our local McDonalds on board with that. Starbucks already does it. Matter-of-fact, why don’t every restaurant in town as a form of one more thing being recycled.
The meeting is at the home of Beverly Overstreet located at 2201 Lagoon, Crescent City. Directions: turn onto Old Mill Road. Right on Lagoon. Continue down until you see the sign for Bev’s Fuchsia Garden. Park on the street.
Here’s the agenda: Eat, instruction from Bev. Eat and talk. Continue with your cement leaves. Eat and talk.
The meeting starts at 11 am. Come and check it out.
