Experience the powerful festival drumming of Kenka Tanabata Taiko — a tradition passed down for more than 900 years in Rikuzentakata, Japan.
For the first time ever, this historic style of taiko will be performed in Crescent City for one special night only!
Kenka Tanabata Taiko originates from a summer festival where large wooden floats are pulled through the streets in a bold and energetic celebration. The drumming captures the strength, spirit, and excitement of this unique cultural tradition.
