As our prayers continue to be with President Trump and the family of Corey Comperatore, I am demanding immediate answers on the bewildering security failure that brought us within centimeters of an unthinkable national tragedy. You can watch my full statement here.

This will be a singular focus when the House returns next week. This week, of course, is the GOP Convention. It occurs against the backdrop of Democrats still calling for Biden to drop out, while Biden wants to hurry things up and be officially nominated over Zoom next week.

As I said on Newsmax, all the Democrats now calling on Biden to step aside said nothing during the primaries, when voters could have had a say. Worse yet, they’ve been complicit in the cover-up by Attorney General Garland, obstructing our efforts to get the Hur tapes.

Meanwhile, even as we’ve defeated Newsom time after time, he still finds new ways to damage our state:

  • Today, he lost us one of the world’s greatest companies, as SpaceX is leaving California. Elon Musk said a bill Newsom just signed to take away parental rights was the “final straw.”
Elon Musk
  • After he was caught losing track of $20 billion spent on homelessness, Newsom just vetoed a bill that would make him account for further spending.
  • California is imposing “permanent water restrictions” for the first time ever. This comes after 20,000 cubic feet per second of water flowed to the ocean because of inadequate storage.

In some good news, In-N-Out just gave major support to the End Prop. 47 initiative. In January, it had to close a restaurant for the first time because of out-of-control crime.

Newsom’s failed schemes to stop our initiative were so outrageous I took to the House Floor to record exactly what he tried to do. The Daily Wire’s headline: “One of the Most Corrupt Schemes in the History of Our State: GOP Congressman Blisters Newsom.
