SEEKING INFORMATION FROM THE PUBLIC
The Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with a current investigation of three separate vehicle fires that have occurred in the past two days:
On 12-26-2016 at about 4:00 am DNSO dispatch received a report of a white 2012 Volkswagen sedan on fire in an apparent arson in the 1300 block of J Street near the intersection of Cooper Avenue.
On 12-26-2016 at about 4:20 am DNSO dispatch received a report of a white 1993 BMW Sedan on fire in and apparent arson in the 1100 block of Douglas Street.
On 12-27-2016 at about 5:00 am DNSO dispatch received a report of a motorhome that was on fire in the 2600 block of Lake Earl Drive.
At this time is unknown if the vehicle fires are connected or separate incidents. The investigation is ongoing and any assistance from the public is appreciated.
