March 25, 2019 – Del Norte County Supervisor Roger Gitlin announces a Town Hall inviting the public to discuss local and regional issues affecting Del Norte County. Subjects for discussion on the Agenda include the new City Ordinances addressing the 2018 Court of Appeals ruling decriminalizing resting and sleeping on public lands and the collateral consequences affecting the City, the newly-announced development of VISION, a 37 unit luxury condominium project replacing the years-vacant dilapidated Medical Office building, the Klamath River Dams removal 2021, newly-announced programs utilizing inmates from the Jail and Pelican Bay State Prison, cleaning up litter and other garbage on public properties and other subjects impacting Del Norte County.
All public is invited:
Invited Panelists include City Manager Eric Wier, Police Chief Ivan Minsal, two members of the Crescent City Council, VISION representatives and CDCR Pelican Bay State prison officials, Klamath River Reclamation Corporation, Sheriff Erik Apperson and other related individuals who will answer your question and respond to your comments.
