The next Del Norte Resource Advisory Committee (RAC )The Del Norte County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) is an official federal advisory group authorized under the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self-Determination Act. It operates in coordination with the U.S. Forest Service. [1, 2]
Its main purpose is to:
- Improve collaborative relationships among local community members, environmentalists, and government officials.
- Provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service regarding projects and funding that benefit local public lands, watersheds, and infrastructure.
Because public committee records often use shorthand, you can keep up with meeting agendas and proposals by visiting the Del Norte County Resource Advisory Committee notices or the Six Rivers National Forest platform. [1, 2]board is open for applications for those interested in being a deciding person on the board. This position will listen and vote on a few projects that other partners present. It would only require meeting a couple times per year.
