Dear California Activist:

This is your chance to take action! One of the most powerful things any citizen can do for the cause of reducing overall immigration is to visit with their Member of Congress and raise the issue of immigration.

Rep. Jared Huffman will hold a town hall meeting on March 21st. Please RSVP early at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/congressman-jared-huffman-marin-town-hall-tickets-576478632107

If you participate, please email me (van@numbersusa.com) a brief description of your interaction and the immigration-related discussions. Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Talking Points

Migrants have forced down Americans’ wages and pushed many citizens out of careers in a wide variety of business sectors, especially in the building trades. The number of migrant workers is well above pre-pandemic levels while American workers are not in the workforce. Plus, migrants tend to settle in areas with high demand for labor, reducing the potential rewards for natives who were thinking about moving there or already live there. We need to refocus our recruitment efforts, not bring in more foreign competition.

Please strengthen immigration enforcement. Biden’s policies have allowed millions to cross our borders and compete for jobs with our least fortunate citizens or legal residents. The human and financial costs are enormous. And Biden has decimated interior enforcement. The courts have struck down his policies time and again. Please listen to voters who want enforcement, not the loud illegal-alien activists. They do not have the voters’ interest at heart.

Biden caused the border crisis & he must fix it! I want you to pressure the Biden administration help to bring the crisis under control by: closing the border to non-essential traffic during pandemic; restarting the Migrant Protection Protocols; returning unaccompanied alien children to their home country; renewing asylum cooperative agreements with Central American countries; and increasing the wait period for work permits for asylum seekers to limit fraud.
