If I were to rent again I would have to put such a rate and crazy deposit on my property I could not afford it either but last time I did not do this I was out $39k in damages in a short time. Renters don’t care they didn’t spend 30 years paying for my property nor will they have to fix it as you can’t get blood from a rock from an entitled person thinking I was getting rich off them as I struggled to pay the taxes the state of Commiefornia put on me or the insane insurance I had to pay as they understand rentals are high risk unless you’re a slum lord and don’t care and do maintenance for your property. I would never rent again and will sell if things get worse. My current home taxes are now the same as my annual rent and utilities were where I was in Indiana before coming back and it has taken 5 years now and double the money I got in rent to repair the home I now reside in so renting again will never happen nor would I reopen any business here until taxes drop over 50% as government wastes resources on people that do nothing but ruin the area this once was. It’s like shutting down mills to save 5k acres as it stopped replanting 10k acres and maintaining wilderness fire roads and now we burn 500k acres doing nothing claiming we are saving them. Money for homeless = taxes for everyone becoming homeless “no one was ever taxed into prosperity” You want to stop greed then stop giving others money away calling it taxes.

These apartments look nice. You cannot have it all ways from Sunday. If you want “affordable” that means taxes have to pay for it. There are indeed folks in need but there are many more that want handouts because of poor financial decisions. I don’t want to subsidize them, do you?
