First 5 Commission Position Open

The Commission is seeking a public member from any of the following categories:  parents, grandparents, caregivers who are or have been recipients of project services or programs; early childhood development educators; representatives of local child care resource or referral agency; local child care coordinating group; representatives of community-based organizations that have the goal of promoting nurturing early childhood development; representatives of local school districts; and representatives of local medical, pediatric, or obstetric groups or associations.
Please help us spread the word, to anyone you know who might be interested and committed to serving on the First 5 Commission. This is a four-year appointment, as a public member. I am attaching the one-page application. Interested parties can return the completed application to the Board of Supervisors or directly to First 5. The Commission will make a recommendation to the Board Of Supervisors after reviewing applications and perhaps interviewing applicants.
