Cucumbers make a great low-calories snack. There are only about 12 calories in 100g of cucumber

 You can make your own Indian raita at home to eat as a dip, sauce or dressing. Just stir Greek yogurt, diced cucumber and fresh mint leaves together in a small bowl.

If you love green smoothies, the high water content and fresh flavor of cucumber make it a great ingredient to include.

 Use fresh cucumber slices in a jug of iced water for a beautiful center piece that tastes great too!

  The electrolytes in cucumber may help reduce headaches.

 Apply cucumber directly to sun burn to soothe, calm, and cool stressed-out skin.

In June we celebrated Harvest of the Month with Cucumber Sandwiches. Your body is mostly water, we need to consume an adequate amount of water every day to keep our bodies functioning properly. Cucumbers are mostly water too. Luckily, cucumbers are in season and they are a great snack to keep your body hydrated.

The Dietary Guidelines for Americans also recommends making half your grains whole grains. This recipe calls for whole wheat bread, which is the perfect touch to this delicious sandwich. Over 150 people tried samples and many said they would make it at home.
