Hi friends! I’m back because I need your help. This fall, I’ll be teaching a really interesting course that I’m very passionate about at CR in DN called Mushrooms of the North Coast (Biol 21). It’s a 3 unit class all about fungi! It’ll briefly cover things like microfungi and lichens, but it’s mostly focused on mushroom ecology & our local mushroom species. It’s scheduled on Mon/Wed evenings with a lab on Saturdays to hopefully be more accessible to folks who work during normal school hours. This is the first time a 3 unit college course on fungi has been offered in Crescent City, but without decent enrollment, it won’t happen. There are a total of 24 spots in the class and so far only 3 people have registered. If this is something that interests you, please sign up!
