The following scheduled roadwork has been verified at the time of release. Please keep in mind work is weather permitting and subject to change.For updates to this list, visit: QuickMap at http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov, check the California Highway Information Network (CHIN) at https://roads.dot.ca.gov or call 1-800-GAS-ROAD (1-800-427-7623). For information pertaining to emergency roadwork, check QuickMap and the CHIN.

Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Friday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day Weekend. However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans crews to respond to emergency situations.

Del Norte County

  • U.S. 101 (12.2/15.5) – Emergency work is scheduled between Wilson Creek Bluff and Rudisill Road weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C101DD
  • U.S. 101 (35.8/36.5) – The Dr. Fine Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled between the Smith River Overflow Bridge and S. Fred D. Haight Dr. weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Travelers should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA
  • U.S. 199 (8.1/11.0) – Emergency work is scheduled between the Scenic Turnout and Hardscrabble Creek Bridge 1-40 weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Expect up to 15-minute delays. LC#C199DA

  1. Caltrans issues a road report for all of District 1 each Friday. Thanks for publishing this, but you should also include road projects in the entire district as a lot of people travel beyond Del Norte County. Also a road report from Oregon Department of Transportation would be helpful for those traveling north and east.
