By Donna Westfall – November 21, 2017 – After a couple of attempts to find out some definitive information, nothing has been forthcoming.
This is what we do know. There is black plastic surrounding the area with what looks like some cursory digging that took place.
On October 30th this email was sent to Harlan Zeigler:
- I’m inquiring about the financials concerning the POH donations/contributions over the last 10 years.
- Would you be so kind as to put me in touch with the current Treasurer of the Committee? I’d like her email address and telephone number please.
NO RESPONSE.
On November 15th, a second email was sent to Mr. Zeigler along with copies to all members:
Mr. Zeigler; Two weeks ago I sent you an email
- “I’m inquiring about the financials concerning the POH donations/contributions over the last 10 years.
- Would you be so kind as to put me in touch with the current Treasurer of the Committee? I’d like her email address and telephone number please.”
I never heard back, so this is a second request.
Today I’m inquiring about the digging going on at the POH. It is my understanding that no excavation is supposed to occur between October 31 & April 15 (the wet season), yet something is going on. Can you or someone else from the committee explain to me, and to the public, exactly what is happening?
At what point will we know what you are constructing?
What does the monument look like?
Are there drawings?
What’s the budget?
How much money has been raised?
What’s the phases schedule?
Is this information being kept secret for some good reason?

NO RESPONSE
Also no response on my 10 questions for Fundraising Chair, Kelly Schellong from Oct. 12th, nor any response from Project Manager, Aadam Trask wherein I raised 7 questions sent to him on Oct. 19th.
The only thing this committee is consistent about is not answering any pertinent questions.
Now I’m asking the public to get involved. If you have any information to share, please do. The rest of the community would like know what is going on.
