Located at a very scenic drive South of Crescent City in Klamath,
California at 301 HWY 169 just off the Southern exit 769 of the Klamath
Township on HWY 101, Telephone 707.482.0400. Menu available at MENU
ONLINE @logcabindiner.net.
The newly upgraded diner offers “Country Style Cooking” that has
offerings that will satisfy nearly everyone who enters its doors. A
generous selection of breakfast favorites and a large array of lunch
time treats provide diners with plenty of options. Clean Bathrooms, and
plenty of choices for dining from counter service to booths, or tables.
Open from 7:30 in the am for breakfast until 2:00 pm or so in the
afternoons for that late lunch.
For locals, don’t let the Hiway 101 construction deter you from a
pleasant short and scenic drive to the newly upgraded diner to be
greeted by its driving force Sherry with a cheery welcome greeting and
home style cooking. My visiting sister and I sat down to a well cooked
and generous breakfast of pancakes for her and delicious French Toast
for me. Just a taste of a large breakfast menu offering. It is small
on the interior, but spotlessly clean, with tables outside for dining
during the many sun filled days found in Klamath during the summer months.
Open every day except Thursdays, to give the staff a day off, but
otherwise a great place for a welcoming meal and a friendly
conversation. Chatted briefly with the Kitchen’s indispensable cook,
Ed, who also owns the place, and was charmed by Sherry, who provided us
with excellent table service and the opportunity to solve her weekly
trivia “White Board Offering”.
All in all, a great place for breakfast and lunch for the locals in the
area or visitors “just passing through”. Will definitely make it a
regular breakfast stop any time I am in the area, and wouldn’t hesitate
to drive down for a lunch just for the friendly atmosphere the place
exudes.
