Angela and I just returned from a two month cross country odyssey in our travel trailer. Our route took us south to 1-10 enroute to Jacksonville, Florida and returned on lots of backroads from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and returning via 1-40 thru Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma, and some of the States heretofore mentioned.
Wal-Mart was our go to location, parking was easy and the store had everything we needed. Thanks, Wal-Mart..We arrived last night. This afternoon, I drove over to my Wal-Mart and I was reminded I am back in California.
“Do you need bags, Sir?”
“Yes, I do. Are you charging for the bags?”
“Yes, sir, per Gov. Newsom, bags are $.10 each.”
What’s wrong with California? In other States we traveled there was never this annoying charge at any Wal-Mart, except California!! Fuel fuel prices were as low at $1.99 per gallon.
Upon our return to California, gasoline was $4.00+ a gallon. What’s wrong with California?
Across the country we saw virtually no homeless along our journey in every State we travelled. Driving up the 99 in Fresno, we observed endless “…tents and trash, vile and disgusting.” What’s wrong with California?
Sadly, Del Norte County and Crescent City have succumbed to the temptation of higher local sales taxes (14% increase to 8.5% ) to pay for motels for homeless in our modest community. What is wrong with Del Norte County?
Who is responsible for this State?Gov. Gavin Newsom is the head of the snake and is responsible. California’s pathetic condition is directly attributable to Gavin Newsom.
Newsom must be recalled. I hope you will share this post with your friends.
