Are antipsychotic drugs being given to seniors a lethal combination?

Credit to Naturalnews.com – February 2, 2017 –  Numerous nursing homes in the state of California are being sued “for failing to get informed consent when they use antipsychotic drugs, as required by law.” says Attorney Joni Moore. “We learned that the families really weren’t told anything other than, ‘The doctor has ordered this medication for you; please come sign a form,’” says Moore.

In many nursing homes, patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease are often given antipsychotic drugs simply to keep them quiet and placid in their new environment — even in spite of the tremendous risks they pose.

Unapproved and Unsafe

Antipsychotic drugs have never been approved for use in dementia or Alzheimer’s patients by the FDA, but the practice remains frighteningly common. Approximately one-third of dementia patients who spend at least 100 days in a nursing facility will be given some type of antipsychotic — roughly 300,00 people each year.

One of her clients was a Ms. Kathi Levine, whose mother Patricia Thomas, had Alzheimer’s disease. Thomas had appeared to be doing well until she had a nasty fall and fractured her pelvis. After a brief hospital stay, Thomas went to a nursing home for rehabilitation. Within a week of her arrival at the facility, “[S]he was in a wheelchair, slumped over, sucking on her hand, mumbling to herself, completely out of it, not even aware that I was there.”

Thomas was so out of it, she was unable to participate in her rehabilitation exercises, so she was discharged. It was then that her daughter learned that the nursing home had loaded her mother up on heavy-duty antipsychotics. Ms. Thomas had been prescribed both Risperdal and Haldol — two very strong drugs. It is worth noting that this drug combination is known to be potentially life-threatening to begin with. She never spoke again and two months after being discharged, she passed away.

Levine and her attorney, Moore filed a class-action lawsuit against the nursing home and a settlement was eventually reached.

Note by Editor:  The two antipsychotics mentioned in the article are fluoridated. Risperdal can cause young boys to develop female breast tissue—a condition known as gynecomastia. As a result, thousands have filed lawsuits against manufacturer Johnson & Johnson.

Please contact me. I should like to write about what I only too well know and have experienced first hand–the extreme harmfulness of fluoride. When Dr. Deborah Moore, (of a non profit agency which helps fluoride toxic people detox) first came across me, she later recounts how, “I was near incoherent” with the toxin’s effects. She reports it took a 6 hour phone call of her tring and get through to me what I needed to do. She said she hung up not even being certain I understood anything she said. By the Grace of GOD, this was my first step on a decades long path of recovery.

When Crescent City contacted me for permission to reprint a letter I wrote to FAN, entitled, “Get the F out of My Water!”…or something like that. I was also invited to have other pieces regarding fluoride published by Crescent City. You could not have known how that invitation gave me purpose. It inspired me greatly!!! Thank you.

From once being sooo uber “Toxed”, that I used to have to hold my hand out with coins in it for people to make change for me and from being sooo dissolved I could no longer keep a thought still in my head or even hold focus to remember words or their meanings to express myself, to now having recovered my wit and wherewithal, you can imagine–I AM THE HAPPIEST OF CAMPERS!!!

I am thinking of having a T shirt made emblazoned with, “Thank You Greatly” Crescent City!!!” Having been blesses to have followed my own all natural healing protocal which helped bring me from GONE to now…being returned to a fully functioning, cognitive being, I have lots to share. It only seems apropos to do so with Crescent City.

I am excited about the prospect of being able to help others. Knowledge is key, but action is essential. You have nooo ideal how daring it is for me to even think of putting myself out there through this offer to write anything which could draw criticism.

In the past, when I struggled to communicate with people, they often spoke REAL LOUD and real ssslllooowww AT me… thinking I was of diminished intelligence. I learned humility from being humilitated. And that is why I would be ever sooo humble if you considered allowing to write more on the journey of me returning to being me.

Trapped inside myself…or rather “Trapped Inside Myself”, could be an excellent article told from the viewpoint of one who has been forced to live toxic.
